28 Jun Dialogue on municipal sustainability by the German Council for Sustainable Development
Over the course of a dialogue process, 100 young municipal stakeholders discussed their experiences the implementation of local sustainability projects. From the individual stories put forward by each person, these representatives for future responsibility were able to identify key commonalities and differences. Which management instruments have proven effective in the implementation of local sustainability projects? Which obstacles have to be overcome time and again? And what impact does the national sustainability policy have at the municipal level? Not only was the work carried out by the 100 participants an independent contribution to the revision of the German sustainability strategy; it also contributed to the Council’s mayoral dialogue and the Council’s recommendations to the Federal Government for the further development of the sustainability strategy.
